Lowell began acting in Dangerously Close, followed by the role of a minor character in Club Paradise, starring as Robin Williams. Her roles included co-starring with Bond girl Pam Bouvier, in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) as well as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross, in 1996. She also appeared on Law & Order for two seasons. In 2005, she played the identical role as Jamie Ross on Law & Order: Trial by Jury. In 2022 she was back in the original series.
